Traditionally, two things prevent motion capture from being performed outdoors:
a) The Sun. Motion capture is difficult when bathed in infrared light.
b) The difficulty of setting up and calibrating systems in a new location.
Our Codasport systems solve both problems.
Firstly, our Codasport CXS sensor units are built to operate in full sunlight.
Secondly, like its indoor cousin, our Codasport CXS sensor units weigh 5kg and a complete system with four CODA sensor units, markers accessories, and control hub weighs in at less than 50 kg.
A typical outdoor set up would consist of two or four sensor units, plus all the markers, marker drive boxes, and clusters used for preparing the subject, a laptop computer and CodaHub. Optionally an EMG system can be added to the arrangement. We offer hard cases for protecting the CODA units and the CodaHub in transport (or for storage), and combined charging cases/carrying cases for clusters, marker driveboxes and our integrated pelvic frame sets.
